Pues parece que Dana no le hace ascos, lo ha invitado al UFC 92...

Nikkansports reported that Dana White responded to Satoshi Ishii on December 19.

Dana White released his comment regarding Satoshi Ishii through WOWOW, which broadcast the UFC in Japan, on December 19. In the comment, he admitted Ishii's potential to be a great MMA fighter and applauded his smart decision. He also invited him to UFC 92 in Las Vegas on December 27, and advised him to see light heavyweight top fighters such as Forrest Griffin, Rashad Evans, Wanderlei Silva and Quinton Jackson.

Satoshi Ishii thanked Dana White and immediately decided to go to Las Vegas to watch the event

Desde luego ha eledigo, si no el mejor, uno de los mejores equipos que hay en USA.
Ahi va a coger un gran nivel seguro. Tienen grandes Wrestlers como Ben Askren, buenos profesores de BJJ, grandes strikers...
Estoy deseando que Dana anuncie UFC en Asia para que fiche a Ishii!

segun la prensa este equipo esta llamado a ser el mejor de USA,si no lo es ya.

The ongoing saga of Beijing Games gold medal judoka Satoshi Ishii and his anticipated MMA debut has taken another twist, as the man who has been celebrated as a potential savior of Japanese MMA has announced that his true desires are stateside in the UFC.

Despite attracting enormous media and fan attention in Japan while building massive anticipation for a future MMA debut, Ishii told Japan's Nikkan Sports that he feels the Octagon is where he belongs.

"I have finally made up my mind," Ishii told Nikkan Sports Wednesday. "The UFC is where I want to fight."

Ishii, who turned 22 on Thursday, was expected to ink a deal with Fighting and Entertainment Group and Dream, which some Japanese media outlets alleged was worth in the neighborhood of 500 million yen ($5.86 million USD), and make an in-ring appearance on New Year's Eve to greet the crowd and announce his debut in 2009.

However, Ishii and his handlers have been cautious in building toward Ishii's debut, wary of any potential failure. A well-placed source has told Sherdog.com that Ishii has been slow in acclimating to the striking game, creating the necessity to postpone his debut. Ishii himself has admitted to the Japanese press that his striking training has been a difficult pursuit thus far.

Ishii's announcement is a curious one. While it is not unusual for high-profile crossover athletes to acquire contracts with Zuffa and the UFC, such as Brock Lesnar, and despite what he may offer for Zuffa's future attempts in the Japanese market, Ishii has not even one MMA bout to his ledger, and said that his management had not even spoken with Zuffa brass at this point, despite his wishes to fight for them.

Following Ishii's proclamation, FEG president Sadaharu Tanigawa addressed the comments to the media on Thursday.

"It's unfortunate that the man with the Japanese MMA world on his shoulders is going abroad," said Tanigawa.

"We'd like him to become a pillar of Japanese MMA," Tanigawa continued. "I think it's important to have dreams but we want him to understand that the world has an expectation of him, and this is his destiny. We want to foster his growth to a level where he can be an athlete that's one in six billion."

Olympic gold medallist in Judo Satoshi Ishii could possibly bring the heavyweights back to "The Ultimate Fighter" on Spike TV.
During their first meeting on Friday, UFC president Dana White recommended that Ishii participate on "The Ultimate Fighter" to build a following in America.

According to Sportsnavi, if Ishii follows through, his debut will be in Fall 2009, which would be the tenth season of the show.

The UFC announced on Sunday that has started exclusive negotations with Ishii. From now on, Ishii will not be allowed to negotiate with other MMA events, specifically Sengoku and DREAM.

"Satoshi Ishii has the potential to be very successful in mixed martial arts," White said Sunday in a release. "We can't wait to start working with Mr. Ishii, we look forward to helping him with his training, his career, and his eventual debut in a professional fight."

The UFC visited Ishii at the MGM Grand Hotel after UFC 92 and negotiations concluded after three hours.

Ishii trained on Sunday at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas and sparred with former UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champ Randy Couture. After sparring, Couture recommended the UFC sign Ishii.

Ishii competed as a heavyweight in the Olympics but it's not certain if he would compete as a heavyweight or a light heavyweight in the UFC. Ishii wants to fight at heavyweight but White suggests that Ishii cut down to 205.

buena estrategia de Dana.asi va rodando y viendo el potencial del chico sin que le cueste "muy caro",en comparacion a UFN o UFC.Y se asegura de que otras promotoras no se lo lleven.Finalmente:si sirve,le doy el salto,si no;pues nada importante van a sacar otros de él.

Ishii esta en 100kg o mas.

Dana le recomienda empezar por el TUF, y que asi se vaya haciendo con seguidores.

amigo saku, felicitaciones por tu titulo d forero y felices fiestas navideñas.
viendo tu post, me recordado q en la ultima conversacion q tuve con rudson,en bahia el mes pasado, parece q le han echo una oferta para entrenar en el att recientemente.
por supuesto le dije q n se lo pensara mucho.
te imaginas esa fiera en mma??
lo q pasa q tiene tantos planes al tiempo q tendria q dejar todo p.dedicarse al tema por completo.
bueno tiempo al tiempo.
ya te adelanto q en marzo me lo traigo trabajando en un barco, asi q lo veras por aki en esas fechas.
