Roger Huerta recently sat down with MMARated to discuss his training and career aspirations. During the interview, Huerta revealed that he may be moving up to welterweight, spoke about the possibility of fighting his friend and training partner Georges St. Pierre and revealed that Georges St. Pierre may, himself, be looking at a move up in weight. Below are some of the highlights of the interview:
Huerta On Moving Up From Lightweight To Welterweight:
"I devoted my whole life to becoming the best in the world and to me and I haven't reached that goal yet...I don't that ever think I'll reach that goal, but I do want to win a world title for the UFC one day and then move up (weight classes)."
Huerta On Fighting Georges St. Pierre:
"I will never fight Georges. He's a great person, he's a down to earth guy. We have a lot of similarities in the ways that we want to get better."
Huerta On Georges St. Pierre Plans To Move Up To Middleweight:
"He's gonna be moving up actually to 185; so when he does that then I'll move up to 170."
