Nota: para quien no lo sepa, el Shootboxing es la parte de combate de pie del Shootfighting, una mezcla de Muay Thai con proyecciones de Judo y Wrestling, llaves de brazo y estrangulamientos de pie.
Luchan con guantes de Boxeo (una pena que no usen guantillas de MMA) y se permiten todo tipo de puñetazos, patadas, rodillazos, codazos, proyecciones y sumisiones de pié. El ring tiene el tamaño tipico de Kick Boxing o Muay Thai, deberian usar las medidas de Pride tambien. Aun asi es una modalidad con mucha acción y muy libre, además, suelen hacer eventos retando a luchadores de Muay Thai, Sanda, Karate o Kick Boxing.
