Matt Hughes siempre ha sido un wrestler muy potente que la ha favorecido estar en una categoria en donde su estilo tiene condiciones mas aptas para desenvolverse, es mas especialista de lo que parece en vez de completo y su punto débil son luchadores con un muy buen sprawl aparte de que no espabila en ocasiones al comienzo del combate. St Pierre va a seguir la misma estrategia del primer combate y tenemos que cada vez en combate a otro se ve el granjero menos intenso y con menos decisión al actuar, me inclino por St Pierre quien a mi juicio es el mejor de su categoria .

Confirmation of Sean Sherk (Pictures)'s suspension for steroids by the California State Athletic Commission has prompted the Ultimate Fighting Championship to strip the the lightweight of his title belt, according to published reports Saturday.

Following his unanimous decision defense over Hermes Franca (Pictures) on July 7, Sherk tested positive for nandrolone and was suspended one year and fined $2,500 by the CSAC. On Dec. 4, the commission voted to reduce the suspension to six months, but the ruling still meant Sherk was considered a steroid user.

During the five months it took to reach a final verdict, UFC president Dana White vacillated between removing the belt from the Minnesotan or letting him keep it. Following Tuesday's hearing, Sherk said he believed he would retain the belt and planned on attending an interim lightweight title fight between B.J. Penn (Pictures) and Joe Stevenson. Sherk had been critical of the UFC for making the interim title bout, which was scheduled for Jan. 19 in Newcastle, England.

"They were going to crown an interim champion in the process while I'm sitting on the sidelines," Sherk said Tuesday. "As far as I know I'm not losing the belt. [UFC president Dana White] believes me when I tell him I didn't take nandrolone. Otherwise, if he didn't believe me, he would have stripped the belt. Fortunately he believes me. I've always been honest with him."

According to reports, the Penn-Stevenson bout is now for official UFC 155-pound title.

UFC President Dana White had already decided that B.J. Penn and Joe Stevenson would square off for the interim championship on January 19 in the U.K. The thought being that if Sean Sherk were cleared than he would immediately face the winner for the true title.

Now it has been confirmed that the Penn Stevenson match up will be for the lightweight championship sans the interim tag which has been officially dropped.

No word yet on whether Sherk will get an immediate shot at the winner or if he'll be forced to make his way up the rankings again.

Lo de Sherk es de coña macho, o se aque lo apoya mientras lo sancionan, y le quita el cinto cuando acaba la sación??? a mi que me lo explique Dana porque no lo pillo...

Da igual, que le pongan a BJ cuando machaque a Stevenson (que en este cuento me parece la comparsa), y por fin veremos el combate que todos queremos ver por el cinto. Me da igual quién lo tenga antes del combate, me importa quién se lo quede al terminar.

aparte de las estelares , pinta muy bien y promete a mi gusto Jucao-de souza, ya veremos, vanderley saldra como nos tiene acostumbrados, haber si aguanta el ritmo y ke tan agresivo sale liddel.el tiempo dirá.falta menos ya !!. 8)

Me gustaria ver a Wand castigando de lo lindo a Iceman, espero que salga a por él como un pitbull y que no se ande con rodeos; hay que echar a Wand asi, como si fuera un perro asesino y ver que hace Liddell, jajajaj, me meo de pensarlo. Espero que haya sangre; si no, si Wand se anda con lindezas lo que va a conseguir es que Liddell le cuele un puño de esos de cirujano maxilofacial y adios. Menudo rollo entonces... >:(

GSP Vs Matt: no sé, no sé ... buff, va a haber mucha leyenda junta ese dia, son todos tan buenos... Yo preferiria que ganase GSP pero con un Hughes mas despierto que la última vez, que parecia un muerto viviente.

Jucao tiene que ganar a de Souza, y Sudoku haber que hace, se espera mucho de él... pero que se ande a la guai...

Tony de Souza es muy bueno, no se yo si Jucao tendra la experiencia necesaria para vencerle y mas en su debut en UFC.

Que vá, será la tercera de Jucao en el UFC, ha perdido una contra Fitch y ha ganado otra a Clementi. de Souza es muy bueno y muy esperimentado. No sé, los dos son especialistas en grappling... tal vez tengas razón y Jucao no pueda sorprender a de Souza que es viejo zorro, pero yo creo es el momento de Jucao de dar el puñetazo sobre la mesa si quiere que sigan contando con el.

jucao tiene una basta experiencia, lo puede traicionar la jaula, pero no creo, van a dar buen show esos dos, si me tengo k inclinar por alguien seria por el mendigo k me gusta como pelea, concentrado, contundente y sobretodo muy paciente.

Es Oficial, Sherk se enfrentará al ganador del Penn vs. Stevenson por el cinturón de los ligeros (como era de esperar...)
