Takanori Gomi is in Corea in order to train. The college that he trains with came down to Corean National Sports University to practice and he tagged along.

I also train at the National Sports University here in Corea, but I think that he was training with a local MMA team (Corea Top Team) on the day that I was there.

I took a look for BigD13B at KNSU, but I didn't see him there -maybe he was injured and didn't make the trip.

Gomi did an interview with MFIGHT news here in Corea and here are some excerpts:

MF: "What are your future plans and what is your status with PRIDE?"

TG: "My next competition will be Combat Wrestling on the 22nd of March. Since this is my last contracted fight for Pride, I just want to concentrate on my training. To be honest with you, these days, I am not even thinking about what I am going to do after my contract is complete, I just want to focus on training."

MF: "Were you injured at all from your last fight?"

TG: "Besides my hair, I am perfectly fine. No injuries." (Gomi recently buzzed off all his hair.)

MF: "What are you impressions of Corea?"

TG: "Well the athletes here train hard, and I love Corean barbeque!"

MF: "How do you feel about the fighters at Corean Top Team?"

TG: "They are very strong and their MMA foundation is very strong."

MF: "How did you feel about your last fight?"

TG: "Well, I feel that I didn't train hard enough. Once I am free of my contract, I would like to simply focus on training with lots of different people."

MF: "The Corean fans want to know why you kept your guard so low in your fight with Nick Diaz..."

TG: "I couldn't raise my arms!"

*laughing*

"I wanted to get my guard up but my arms wouldn't respond. My conditioning wasn't sufficient."

TG: "My next competition will be Combat Wrestling on the 22nd of March. Since this is my last contracted fight for Pride, I just want to concentrate on my training.
