In a shocking turn of events just eleven days away from Affliction: Trilogy, Josh Barnett has seemingly been axed from his main event showdown with WAMMA heavyweight champion, Fedor Emeliaenko after he returned a positive result in a pre-fight test.

A number of sources have confirmed to Sherdog.com that the California State Athletic Commission will not grant Barnett a licence to compete, although the Seattle native is yet to be contacted by anyone officially.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Vitor Belfort now looks set to be pulled from his middleweight clash with Jorge Santiago and moved into the main event slot to oppose the Russian star, although rumours that Bobby Lashley could step up are also circulating.
